Amsterdam, The Netherlands and London, UK - Fox Kids Europe N.V. (FKE) today announced that the international final of its award-winning five-a-side boys' and girls' football tournament is being renamed the Jetix Kids Cup. The renaming of the Fox Kids Cup international final marks and celebrates the roll-out of Jetix branded programming blocks on Fox Kids channels in Europe and the Middle East launching from April 3, 2004.

The Jetix Kids Cup aims to promote fair play, sportsmanship and cultural exchange. Fox Kids Cup national football tournaments are currently taking place involving over 1 million kids in 16 countries worldwide including Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, France, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Spain, UK and the USA.

In the UK, the Fox Kids Cup national tournament will kick-off on April 9, 2004 and visit Powerleague Centres, nationwide. Kids will be able to showcase their skills to top PFA coaches, with the UK national finals taking place at Bolton's Reebok Stadium on May 16, 2004. The winning boys and girls team will go on to represent their country at the Jetix Kids Cup international final along with their counterparts from the 15 other competing countries.

The international final will take place at the Manchester United Soccer School at Disneyland Resort Paris between June 21-25, 2004. For more information please log onto www.foxkidscupinfo.com or www.manutdsoccerschools.com.

The broadcast of the Jetix Kids Cup 2004 will reach a total of 173 million homes in 62 countries and 15 languages worldwide on Fox Kids channels in Europe, the Middle East and Latin America and on ABC Kids, part of the ABC Television Network, and ABC Family.

Jetix, the name for the joint kids international programming alliance between Fox Kids Europe, Fox Kids Latin America and ABC Cable Networks features original, acquired and library action-adventure series, including such globally recognised programmes as Power Rangers.

Bruce Steinberg, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, FKE said: "The renaming of the international final of the Fox Kids Cup underlines our commitment to building our global brand Jetix. With our US partner ABC Cable Networks, the Jetix Kids Cup 2004 will be propelled into even more homes worldwide which will further promote the event's core values of fairplay, sportsmanship and cultural exchange among our audience."

Shari Donnenfeld, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communications, FKE said: "The Jetix Kids Cup is set to capture kids'' energy and enthusiasm for football and our brand around the world. The international success of the Fox Kids Cup among kids, parents and our partners over the past five years has been overwhelming and we are confident that the Jetix Kids Cup will be a new benchmark in the world of kids football and television."

Fox Kids channels in Europe and the Middle East will begin transitioning to Jetix-named channels beginning in Autumn 2004. Fox Kids channels in Latin America, including Brazil, will be renamed Jetix in mid 2004.

Jetix Kids Cup will work with UNICEF for a third year to raise awareness of UNICEF's Go Girls! Education for Every Child campaign. As part of this partnership a FKE-UNICEF online campaign will collect pledges via Fox Kids websites in support of UNICEF's Go Girls! Education for Every Child campaign, a major part of UNICEF's '25 by 2005' initiative to get more girls into school in 25 priority countries by 2005. The five-point pledge outlines what it takes to ensure every child has the best possible education: the best start in life, the best schools, the best teachers, safety, protection and fairness.

The JETIX Kids Cup will air on ABC Kids on July 31 at 11:00am ET
